Hi all! I'm Kim and my other half is Jacob. I'm starting this blog to chronicle our lives together and share with family and friends our adventures and misadventures as young newlyweds.
So first things, first. We met in the summer of 2007 at our
worst job ever summer job during college break in our hometown. We had lived just miles from each other and had never met until that fateful summer where we served rolls and sweet tea to the finest of middle America. As luck would have it, we both attended Indiana University Bloomington (Go Hoosiers!), where we stayed in contact, dated, and fell in love.
On June 26, 2010 we got hitched! We had our dream wedding (thanks mom & dad) in Indianapolis with all of our friends and family.
We then moved to a little rental house in the teeny tiny in the middle of nowhere, Indiana. But why , you ask? Jacob worked in Bloomington and I was a graduate student in Indianapolis and it's as in the middle as we could get. So while I finished up grad school, we called this town home.
So then what? Oh yeah...
First came love, then came marriage, then came the 25 pound
mutt German Shepherd mix? We decided the next stop in becoming a grownup for us was to become pet parents. She the center of attention and one spoiled pup.
In Spring 2012 we bought our very first house and moved back to our hometown. It was love at first sight and we still cannot believe we own it. I also graduated and got my very first big girl job as a therapist with a local community mental health center.
And then... we decided to fill our home with yet another (fur) baby, Emma.
We couldn't hope for anything more!
